Nartiel8k – Your screening room at home: 120,000+ movies and series, plus live TV

The Nartiel8k EPG: loading it, keeping it current and setting the clock

Every plan includes a program guide for the live channels. With the Xtream Codes login it usually appears by itself; with an M3U link you add one address. This page covers loading, refreshing, time zones and the rows that stay blank.

The Nartiel8k TV guide is the schedule your player draws beside the live channels: what each one is showing, when it ends and what follows. It comes with every plan, and in a home that mostly watches from the Movies and Series sections its job is practical rather than central. You open it to see whether the game has started, when the late news begins, or whether something live clashes with tonight’s feature. The Nartiel8k movie and series library has no timetable, so its 120,000+ titles never appear in it; the guide belongs to the 25,000+ live channels and fills in wherever a channel supplies listings.

What the Nartiel8k EPG is made of

EPG stands for electronic program guide. Behind the grid sits a data file in the XMLTV format, published by the same server that streams the channels. Each entry holds a channel identifier, a start and end time and a title, often with a line of description. The player downloads the file, pairs each identifier with a channel in your list, and draws the result as a grid or a strip under the picture, depending on its design.

Two things follow from that. The guide is only as fresh as its last download, so it needs an occasional refresh. And the times are converted to local time by your device, so a wrong clock shifts every program on every channel.

Loading the guide: Xtream Codes login or M3U link

Signed in with the Xtream Codes login, most players fetch the guide without being asked. Signed in with the M3U link, many players load the channels and stop there until you give them the guide address.

How the player is signed inWhat happens to the guideYour part
Xtream Codes (server URL, username, password)IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate and most other players download it after the channel listWait a few minutes on the first sign-in, then refresh if rows are still empty
M3U link (the get.php address)Many players import the channels onlyAdd the EPG address as a guide or XMLTV source in the player’s settings

The EPG address reuses the server address from your login, ends in xmltv.php and carries your username and password as two parameters:

[server address]/xmltv.php?username=[your username]&password=[your password]

There is no need to assemble it by hand: ask in the WhatsApp chat and support sends it complete. In TiviMate it goes in as an EPG source for the playlist; in Kodi it belongs in the XMLTV URL field of the IPTV Simple Client add-on. The Nartiel8k M3U playlist walkthrough covers players that only accept a playlist. For anything that offers both routes, the Nartiel8k Xtream Codes login guide is the shorter path.

Refreshing the guide

Refresh when listings look stale, after a time zone change, or when a row that used to fill turns empty. Most players also update on a timer, so this is a repair, not a routine.

  • The first sign-in. The channel list lands first and the guide follows; give it a few minutes, longer on a slow box, before deciding anything is missing.
  • TiviMate. Its guide settings include an update-now option and an update interval, in recent versions; run the manual update after adding or changing a source.
  • IPTV Smarters Pro. Look for a refresh or EPG entry in the settings or the account menu; some versions place it on the home screen. Signing out and in again also forces a fresh download.
  • Any other player. Close the app completely and reopen it, or restart the device.

How far ahead the listings reach differs from channel to channel, so a row that is full for today and empty three days out is normal.

Matching the guide to your time zone

Correct the device first and the player second, never the other way round.

  1. Set the device clock. On the TV, stick or box, switch on automatic date and time and choose the right zone in the system settings. A clock set by hand drifts, and it ignores the spring and fall clock changes, which moves the whole grid by an hour twice a year.
  2. Restart the player and refresh. Listings are converted to local time as they are drawn, so a corrected clock usually fixes everything at once.
  3. Use the player’s offset only for what remains. If every channel still runs early or late by the same amount, set the guide time-shift option, if your version has one, by exactly that gap.
  4. Test against a real event. Watch a news channel at the top of the hour; the bulletin should begin where the guide places it.

One thing that looks wrong but is right: a channel from another country shows its schedule in your local time, not its own. With channels from 60+ countries, an evening program abroad can sit in your morning, and the guide is simply translating the clock for you.

Why some channels have a blank row

A blank row means the player holds no listings paired with that channel. The usual reasons are ordinary ones:

  • Event feeds. Channels opened for a single match or show often carry no schedule; the channel name tells you what is on.
  • Still downloading. Right after sign-in or a refresh, rows fill gradually.
  • No guide source. An M3U sign-in without the xmltv.php address has channels and no listings.
  • A mismatched identifier. The listings exist under a different channel identifier from the one in your list. That one is on our side, so send the channel name in WhatsApp.

If a regular channel is still blank after a refresh on the Xtream login, the checklist on fixing Nartiel8k problems takes you through the remaining causes.

How the guide and Nartiel8k catch-up work together

The guide is where catch-up begins. On channels the server archives, programs to the left of the current time can be played from their first minute in players that support it; on other channels those earlier slots are listings only. That makes a loaded, correctly timed guide the first requirement for Nartiel8k catch-up and replay: with no listings there is nothing to select, and with the clock out by an hour the server sends the wrong hour of the broadcast.

Hold the guide up against the wall clock

Sign in with a 24-hour trial login, let the guide load, then compare one news channel with the time on your wall. If they agree, the paid login will too.

Nartiel8k TV guide questions

Does Nartiel8k have a TV guide?

Yes. A program guide for the live channels is part of every plan at no extra cost. Signed in with the Xtream Codes login, players such as IPTV Smarters Pro and TiviMate normally fetch it on their own; with an M3U link you add one guide address in the player. The movie and series library has no schedule, so it is browsed separately.

Where do I get the Nartiel8k EPG link?

Ask in the WhatsApp chat and support sends it ready to paste. It is the server address from your login, ending in xmltv.php and carrying your username and password as parameters. You only need it when a player loads your channels from the M3U link and wants a separate guide source; the Xtream login brings the guide with it.

Why are some channels blank in the Nartiel8k guide?

Most often the player has not paired any schedule with those channels yet. Straight after signing in the guide may still be downloading, so wait a few minutes and refresh. Feeds opened for a single event often carry no listings at all. A regular channel that stays empty after a refresh is worth a message in WhatsApp.

Why do the Nartiel8k guide times look wrong?

Nearly always because the device has the wrong time zone or a clock set by hand. Turn on automatic date and time in the TV or box settings, pick the correct zone, restart the player and refresh the guide. Only if every channel is still out by the same amount should you touch the guide time-shift setting in the player.

How do I refresh the Nartiel8k EPG?

Use the player’s own update option. TiviMate keeps one among its guide settings, and IPTV Smarters Pro has a refresh or EPG entry in its settings or menu, depending on the version. Signing out and back in also forces a fresh download. Give the update a few minutes before you judge the result.

Does the Nartiel8k guide list the movies and series?

No. The guide covers live channels, because only live channels run to a timetable. The 120,000+ movies and series sit in the Movies and Series sections of your player, sorted into categories by genre and language, with series split into seasons. Use the search box there rather than the grid.
