Before the opening credits
- Windows 10 or 11, or a recent version of macOS
- Your Nartiel8k Xtream login and the M3U link from the WhatsApp chat
- VLC media player, if you want the M3U route
- An HDMI cable, or an adapter for a laptop with only USB-C, if the computer will feed the TV
One thing to know first: there is no Nartiel8k app to hunt for. The subscription is a login, and any player in these guides accepts it. Not subscribed yet? Ask for the 24-hour Nartiel8k trial, or see what each plan length costs.
Seven moves from the home screen to the first feature
Choose by what you want to see
For browsing the movie and series library, use a Smarters player with the Xtream login: films and series get their own sections, with categories and a search field. VLC plays the M3U link and is ideal for a quick check of live channels, but it shows everything as one playlist, and a full list that includes the on-demand library runs to a very long file that VLC loads slowly. Most people use Smarters for evenings and keep VLC for a two-minute test.
Windows: install IPTV Smarters Pro
Get the Windows installer directly from the people who make IPTV Smarters, never from a download portal that bundles extra software with it. Run it and open the app. If Windows shows a SmartScreen notice, check that the publisher named there matches the developer before you continue, and stop if it does not. Then choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
Mac: install Smarters Player Lite
Open the App Store on the Mac, search for Smarters Player Lite and choose Get, confirming with your Apple ID. Open it from Launchpad or the Applications folder and pick the Xtream Codes login. The layout matches the iPhone and Apple TV versions, so anything you learn here carries over.
Enter the Nartiel8k details
Open WhatsApp on the computer, copy each of the three login values in turn, and paste it into its field in the player, which avoids typing mistakes entirely. Keep the http:// and the port, check that no space slipped in at the end, and look at the Caps Lock light before typing anything by hand. Save, and the catalogs sync in a minute or two.
Or use VLC with the M3U link
Launch VLC. On Windows choose Media, Open Network Stream, or press Ctrl and N; on a Mac choose File, Open Network, or press Command and N. Paste the M3U link and press Play. On Windows, Ctrl and L shows the playlist, and its search box finds a channel by name far faster than scrolling. Treat the link like a password, because it contains yours.
Put the computer on the big screen
Connect the laptop to the TV with HDMI. Windows+P opens the projection panel, where Duplicate or Second screen only sends the picture across; on a Mac, open Displays in System Settings and pick the TV. Run the player full screen, plug the laptop into power, and make sure it will not sleep in the middle of a long film; Windows keeps that under Power settings and the Mac under its display and energy settings.
Verify: a 4K film and a live channel
Play a title from a 4K category for two minutes in Smarters, full screen, and listen to the computer. A quiet machine means the graphics chip is decoding the film; a fan that roars means the processor is doing the work, and the troubleshooting section covers that. Then play a live channel in Smarters or VLC. Both steady means the computer is ready, and the same login can go on the television next.
Windows PC and Mac troubleshooting, symptom by symptom
VLC opens the link but the playlist stays empty
VLC is still reading a very large file. Leave it for a minute before clicking anything, then open the playlist with Ctrl and L. If it never fills, use the Xtream login in a Smarters player instead, which loads the library in sections rather than all at once.
4K films stutter on an older laptop
Turn on hardware decoding: in VLC, Tools, Preferences, Input and Codecs, set Hardware-accelerated decoding to Automatic. Plug the laptop into power, since many machines slow their graphics on battery, and use a cable to the router if you can. Some older processors simply cannot decode 4K HEVC smoothly; HD titles will be fine.
Windows asks you to buy a video extension
That prompt comes from the built-in Windows video app, which needs an extra extension for HEVC. You do not need it: VLC and the Smarters player bring their own decoders. Never download a codec pack from an unknown site to fix this.
The laptop shows the film but the TV says no signal
Open the projection panel with Windows+P, pick Duplicate, then check the TV is on the HDMI input the cable uses. On a Mac, open Displays and confirm the TV is detected. A different cable or port settles the rest.
Smarters on the computer refuses the login
Caps Lock is the usual culprit on a keyboard, since logins are case-sensitive. Paste the details from the chat instead of typing, and check the server URL keeps its http:// and port with nothing after it.
Still stuck after these? Photograph the screen and send it to support on WhatsApp; a picture of the exact message saves ten minutes of describing it.
Windows PC and Mac questions, answered for Nartiel8k viewers
Is there a Nartiel8k desktop app?
No. Nartiel8k is a login, not software. On Windows you use IPTV Smarters Pro, on a Mac Smarters Player Lite, and on either you can open the M3U link in VLC. Any download offered as a Nartiel8k app for computers is not ours.
Can I watch Nartiel8k in a web browser?
Not through a Nartiel8k website: there is no web account or customer portal, and orders, renewals and support all run through one WhatsApp chat. On a computer, use a player such as IPTV Smarters Pro, Smarters Player Lite or VLC with your login.
Does VLC show the movie library?
It does, as entries in one long playlist, without posters, sections or season lists. That makes VLC fine for finding a specific title by search and awkward for browsing. For browsing films and series, a Smarters player with the Xtream login is the better choice.
Is it safe to share my M3U link?
No. The link contains your username and your password, so anyone who has it can use your connections. Keep it in the WhatsApp chat, and if it has been shared by mistake, ask support there to change your details.
Can the computer and the TV play at the same time?
They can if the plan includes at least two connections. Sign in on as many devices as you like; each connection still feeds only one screen at a time. The two-connection plan costs $25 for a month and $119 for 12 months.
