Nartiel8k – Your screening room at home: 120,000+ movies and series, plus live TV

Set up Nartiel8k on a Fire TV Stick for movie night

Nartiel8k on a Fire TV Stick is the cheapest way to put a 120,000-title movie shelf on the biggest screen in the house, as long as the stick is the right one. The 4K and 4K Max decode the HEVC video most 4K titles arrive in and hand Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 or HLG to a television that accepts them, while the Lite and the basic stick stop at 1080p. One model is a trap: the Fire TV Stick 4K Select runs Vega OS and cannot sideload, so the route below is for Fire OS sticks only.

Before the opening credits

  • For 4K films, a Fire TV Cube, a Fire TV Stick 4K Max or a Fire TV Stick 4K on Fire OS; a Lite or basic stick plays the same library at 1080p
  • Your Nartiel8k username, password and server URL, exactly as they arrived in WhatsApp
  • A strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal behind the TV, or Amazon’s Ethernet adapter for a wired 4K evening
  • An HDMI input on the TV that takes 4K HDR; on older sets only one or two of the ports do

One thing to know first: there is no Nartiel8k app to hunt for. The subscription is a login, and any player in these guides accepts it. Not subscribed yet? Ask for the 24-hour Nartiel8k trial, or see what each plan length costs.

Eight moves from the home screen to the first feature

  1. Decide which player will run the library

On a stick that will mostly play films and series, install IPTV Smarters Pro first. After an Xtream Codes login it gives Movies and Series their own sections, each split into categories with a search field at the top, so a library of this size behaves like a shelf rather than a pile. TiviMate is the better pick for a stick that lives on sport and the news, because it is built around the live channel list and the program guide. Both accept the same login, and both can sit on one stick on a single-connection plan as long as only one of them is playing.

Choose a plan before you start

  2. Confirm the stick runs Fire OS

Open Settings, then My Fire TV, then About, and read the model name at the top. A model name of Fire TV Stick 4K Select means Vega OS: Downloader does not exist for it and nothing can be sideloaded, so check whether its Appstore offers any player taking an Xtream login, and if none is offered, give this subscription a different device. Every other Fire TV Stick, the Fire TV Cube and the Fire TV Edition televisions run Fire OS and follow the rest of this guide.

  3. Unhide Developer Options

Stay on the About screen, highlight the device name in the first row and click the select button on it seven times. Fire OS confirms with a brief notice that developer mode is on, and Developer Options now shows one level up, inside My Fire TV. Amazon keeps it hidden on current Fire OS builds, which is why so many people go looking for a menu that seems not to exist. Nothing else on the stick changes when you unlock it.

  4. Install Downloader and give it permission

Under Find, open Search and enter Downloader, then pick the listing with the orange icon whose developer line reads AFTVnews. Install it, launch it, and accept its request for storage access. Then return to My Fire TV, Developer Options, Install unknown apps, and set the switch beside Downloader. On older Fire OS releases there is one global switch, Apps from Unknown Sources, in place of the per-app list; turning that on does the same job.

  5. Download the player you picked

Downloader opens on its Home tab with a single URL box. Click into it and enter the download address for your chosen player. Support sends it in the same WhatsApp chat as your login, or you can use the address the player’s developer publishes. Press Go, let the progress bar fill, and choose Install when the installer screen appears. When it finishes, pick Done rather than Open, then Delete inside Downloader, so the leftover file stops eating the stick’s limited storage.

  6. Sign the player in

Press and keep holding Home until a small menu opens, then pick Apps: a sideloaded player shows up in that grid, never on the front row of the home screen. In IPTV Smarters Pro pick Login with Xtream Codes API; in TiviMate pick Add playlist, then Xtream Codes. Name the profile anything you like and type the three values as they appear in the chat, with http:// at the front of the server and the port at its end. The first sync pulls the movie and series catalogs as well as the channels, so leave it on that screen for a minute or two.

  7. Set the stick up for films

In Settings, Display and Sounds, Display, set Dynamic Range Settings to Adaptive, so ordinary titles are not pushed into HDR and drained of color. If your model lists Match Original Frame Rate, turn it on: players that ask for it can then show a 24-frame film at 24 frames instead of forcing it to 60. Back in the player, open Movies, browse the categories once, and add the first few titles you mean to watch to favorites where the player offers that. A short row of picks beats scrolling thousands of posters with a remote ring.

  8. Verify with a 4K film and a live channel

Open Movies, choose a category marked 4K or UHD if the shelf has one, and play a title for two minutes, including a scene with fast movement. Your TV’s info button or input menu should report a 2160p signal on that HDMI port. Then back out to Live TV and play a channel you know well for two more minutes. If both run cleanly, the stick is ready for tonight; if the film stutters while the channel does not, the first troubleshooting entries below cover exactly that.

Firestick troubleshooting, symptom by symptom

The film stutters but live channels are fine

A 4K title asks for several times the data of an HD channel, so this is usually the Wi-Fi link behind the TV. Join the stick to the router’s 5 GHz network, or fit the Ethernet adapter, which sits between the stick and its power supply. If it still stutters wired, open the player’s settings and switch its decoder between hardware and software; one of the two suits each stick model better.

A 4K title plays, but the TV reports 1080p

Three suspects, in order. The stick may be a Lite or basic model, which cannot output more. Display, Video Resolution may be set to 1080p instead of Auto. Or the HDMI input may not accept 4K HDR, common on sets from before 2018, where only one port does; the TV manual or the label beside the port names it. A title from a non-4K category will of course stay at HD.

HDR films look grey and the menus look harsh

Dynamic Range Settings is on Always HDR, which converts everything, menus included. Switch it to Adaptive. If HDR titles still look flat, the TV may need its enhanced signal option turned on for that HDMI port; Samsung calls it Input Signal Plus and LG calls it HDMI Ultra HD Deep Color, and without it the TV accepts only a limited signal.

Install is greyed out after the download finishes

Downloader lacks permission. Go to My Fire TV, Developer Options, Install unknown apps, and set Downloader to On, then run the download again. If Developer Options is missing entirely, unlock it first from the About screen with seven presses on the device name.

The Movies section spins on the first sign-in

The player is indexing more than 120,000 titles. Give it up to five minutes before backing out, because leaving early restarts the job. If it never completes, check free storage under My Fire TV, About, Storage, then clear the player’s cache in Settings, Applications, Manage Installed Applications, and sign in again.

The sign-in screen says the details are wrong

Compare the username’s first letter with the chat, since the on-screen keyboard can capitalize it and logins are case-sensitive. Confirm the server begins with http:// and ends with the port, with no space after it. If all three match and it still refuses, send a photo of the screen on WhatsApp so support can check the account is active.

Still stuck after these? Photograph the screen and send it to support on WhatsApp; a picture of the exact message saves ten minutes of describing it.

Firestick questions, answered for Nartiel8k viewers

Is there a Nartiel8k app in the Amazon Appstore?

No, and there never has been. Nartiel8k is a login that you type into a player such as IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate. Any Appstore listing or download link using the Nartiel8k name did not come from us, so leave it alone, and ask on WhatsApp if you are unsure about a file.

Can I use Nartiel8k on a Fire TV Stick 4K Select?

Only if its Appstore offers a player that takes an Xtream login, because that model runs Vega OS and cannot sideload, and Downloader does not exist for it. For a dependable movie night on that television, a 4K or 4K Max stick running Fire OS, or a Google TV device, is the safer purchase.

Which Fire TV is best for 4K movies?

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max, with the Fire TV Stick 4K close behind. Both decode 4K HEVC and pass Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HDR10 to a TV that supports them, and the Max has the quicker processor, which shows when you scroll a long movie category. The Lite and the basic stick top out at 1080p.

Can the Firestick and my phone share one Nartiel8k login?

Yes. Install a player on both and sign in with the same details. What a plan limits is streams playing at the same moment: one connection plays on one screen at a time, while the two-connection plan, $25 for a month, lets the stick and the phone play together.

Will an episode I start on the Firestick resume on my tablet?

Not on its own. Resume points live inside the player on each device rather than in an online account, so the tablet has no idea where the stick stopped. Note the episode and the minute, or finish the episode on the screen where you started it.

Do I need the Ethernet adapter for 4K?

Not always, but it is the most reliable cure for a 4K film that pauses to buffer. A stick tucked behind a TV gets a weak Wi-Fi signal; the adapter plugs in between the stick and its power supply and gives it a cable. On a strong 5 GHz signal close to the router, Wi-Fi is usually enough.
